New Yamuna Valley Farm

Our Story

Yudisthira Prabhu, President, and Operations Manager of The New Yamuna Valley Farm served Srila Prabhupada for over 45 years at his old homestead on The New Yamuna Farm 12 acre property that he plans on putting into a 501c2 Land Holding Trust for the future generations of devotees. "Freedom stands on the shoulders of our property rights."
“We started a few years ago...” In 2000 my wife Vandevi Dasi and I Yudisthira Das, purchased 20 acres in the New Yamuna Valley, directly across from the Prabhupada's Palace. This has become our latest attempt to bring into practical shape Prabhupada's instruction to "Make Vrindavan and Live Like Krishna Lived."...."At any cost DO IT." In 1974 I homesteaded on the present-day location of RVC Temple when we were unexpectedly visited by Srila Prabhupada who told us that "Everything is complete." When he observed our meager tiny cabin and homestead. Because we were depending on nature's gifts, milk from our cow, transportation from our ox team, and placing Radha and Krishna at the center of our lives. "I have one lamantation...No that I have not established varnasrama." Room conversation 1977. So to this day, we continue to try and follow his vision for varnasrama (devotee care, survival) and anyone seriously interested in Prabhupada's Second Half worldwide farm movement which began here in 1968. Can contact us at The New Yamuna Farm Facebook page and please join in.

Become self-sufficient
Our farm projects are an extremely important part of our movement. We must become self-sufficient by growing our own grains and producing our own milk, then there will be no question of poverty. So develop these farm communities as far as possible. They should be developed as an ideal society depending on natural products not industry. Industry has simply created godlessness, because they think they can manufacture everything that they need. (Letter, 18 December 1974, Bombay)

Building a temple for Krishna Balaram

New proposed home for Krishna Balaram Temple under renovation. Planned opening early spring 2022. Part of New Yamuna Farm demonstration village project as envisioned by Srila Prabhupada.

Be a part of this country home for Krishna and Balaram

The thought of building a temple for Sri Krishna's worship frees the soul from 100 births of sinful reaction. Actual planning to do so cancels 1,000 births of sin. Completing the temple offers any perfection the sponsor desires to the extent of achieving residence in Goloka Vrindavana. Similar benefits are derived from establishing pastime places replicating Vrindavana due to the pleasure of the Lord and the benefit of jivas achieved by this act of devotion. Even the souls who never visit such places of worship are relieved from their suffering to varying degrees simply because such places exist in this world. and for whatever reason visitors come to the temple or Dhama, they achieve the merits of ajnata0sukriti which will allow them to experience some degree of divine presence in entering Sri Krishna's abode.
